R.I.P. Michael Jackson.
Did you guys know that he died? That's so sad.

Blog post!
Hey, I thought I should add something to do the blog since there haven't been many site updates to keep it active. Here's a picture of a giraffe I drew, enjoy.

One year to the day.
Exactly one year ago I posted my first blog post to this site rambling on about how I looked forward to making a worthy dent in webcomic culture. Have I? I'm not sure yet. I've made a few waves on the internet by being featured several times on websites such as The Daily What and Reddit. Explosm, of Cyanide and Happiness fame, even chose my comic as part of their “Stuff We Like” section. That's more than I could have ever hoped for, and I have no idea what's in store for me this coming fiscal year for Lovenstein.

The best thing I've experienced since I started this site is the sheer amount of people who have been so supportive and fun to talk to. I've gotten some of the kindest emails ever about my me and my comic. Earning the respect of anyone is quite an honor and I've been lucky enough to earn it from a fair amount of people thus far.

I've also learned a lot about the craft of comic design over the course of a year. The look and style of my comic has definitely shifted. My first few comics vaguely have resemblance to my latest strips. I've learned to keep challenging myself artistically and mentally to keep things fresh around here. I couldn't handle slowly falling into a comfort zone that keeps my comic looking the same for years like many famous and established newspaper funnies out there. I certainly have room to challenge myself even more and see where it takes me.

So that's that, a minor achievement on a road to webcomic success or whatever you'd like to call “success.” Now that I got that out of the way, here's some more fun statistics for you all. For my 100th comic, I revealed my top ten most viewed comics so I thought I'd show that once again. They've definitely shifted around quite a bit. Unlike last time, my first comic didn't make it into the top ten sadly. Also, here's the grand total of comic views for the whole site as well, which quadrupled several times over since my 100th comic. Neat stuff! Thanks for reading everyone!
